Schilda, a non-profit Turkish platform, has been established by a group of academicians from AHBV University (Ankara) in order to stimulate discussions among mainly International Relations students on current subjects. By providing access to popular articles in their mother tongue, we are aiming to make students more familiar with the developing terminology and current discussions of IR. By showing a less strict academic world, we believe students will have more confidence to express more. To this aim, within Schilda, students are also supervised to write their own analysis and do translations.
Translated materials will also be used as reading materials for the courses of Ethnic Conflict, Social Movements, Theories of International Relations and Political Science. Through this blog, we are hoping to create an interactive discussion platform where students can find an opportunity to elaborate more on current subjects of IR.
We are mainly following popular blog writers in order to choose what to translate. However, we respect the intellectual property rights of others. Accordingly, we have a policy of removing articles that violate copyright law. This procedure is implemented upon receiving a written notification of claimed copyright infringement. If you believe we are infringing your copyright, please email a notice to our editor at [email protected].
